UK - Three Murders in 24 Hours Bring London Kill Rate To 59

Another teen stabbing in London as the UK capital saw three murder victims in 24 hours. The 18-year-old stabbed to death in Forest Gate yesterday evening says he was attacked by a gang who allegedly arrived in two cars.

The young man was a law student at Queen Mary University who lived with his grandmother. The teenager of Egyptian heritage is now already the 59th person killed in London this year as the spiral of crime continues.

A friend of the young boy stated: “He looked after and lived with his grandmother as his grandfather died. He was a good family boy. He was great at sport, used to be a good runner, he had great stamina.”

“He had lots of friends and was well-liked. He never did anything illegal. He loved playing computer games with his mates. I can't believe this has happened, I'm totally shocked, he was never in any trouble.”

Neighbour Tariq Bhugeloo, 22 years old, complained about the lack of police in the area: “Newham is Newham. There's never any police patrolling unless something bad happens. Something needs to change.”

Yesterday already two people, a young father and a woman in her 30s, were murdered within half an hour of each other. First a Romanian man known as Raul Nicolaie, 26 years old, was stabbed to death in Colindale, north London around 6pm local time.

Secondly, an unknown woman in her 30s was stabbed to death in Brixton, south London, some 30 minutes later.
