This is far from Abraham's first troubles since her foray into celebrityhood, she was fired from the remainder of Teen Mom OG's seventh season by the show's makers at MTV. She was quickly replaced with Mackenzie McKee prompting Abraham to file a $5 million dollar lawsuit against MTV's parent company Viacom. According to her lawsuit, Abraham claims she was fired to due to her decision to keep working in the adult film industry.

The lawsuit was "amicably settled" out of court and although the terms of the settlement were not made public, Abraham said she was pleased with the outcome. "I'm happy Viacom wanted to settle and I’m thrilled with the outcome," Abraham said. "I did the right thing by filing a lawsuit. I honestly felt that if I didn’t stand firm I would have regretted it my entire life and I would have thought my entire life 'I should have sued!'"

A Viacom representative issued a response saying, "We respect Farrah’s decision to pursue other endeavors and we wish her the best. Regarding her suit, the claims are without merit." Abraham has also been an outspoken figurehead for the #MeeToo movement and other social justice causes.
