The convicted pedophile and former gymnast doctor Larry Nassar has filed an appeal in which he claims he was set upon by other inmates within hours of being introduced to the prison's general population. It looks like its going to be a long 40-175 years in prison for Nassar but apparently, the convicted predator is appealing his sentence under the grounds that he was abused in prison and "charged by one of the victim's parents". How ironic that Nassar would complain about such a close encounter while he had armed protection paid for by the state when his victims had no one protecting them from his penetrating appendages.

Nassar pleaded guilty to multiple charges of sexual assault last November after being charged with sexually abusing seven girls. Those assaults took place while he was a practicing head of medicine at Michigan State University. The latest filings by Nassar's attorney's alleged he was abused in prison. Shocker, who could have seen that coming? "Dr. Nassar reports, that in late May he was physically attacked in a federal prison within a few hours of being placed in general population," the court document reads. Why is this guy still calling himself a Doctor? He violated his Hippocratic Oath and lost all privilege of calling himself "Dr. Nassar".
Nassar is currently sitting in a federal prison in Tucson, Arizona where it will be exceptionally hot this time of year. He is serving a 60-year sentence for federal child porn charges and another 40 to 125 years for sexually assaulting several girls at the Twistars gymnastics club. Nassar's latest appeal seeks to disqualify Judge Rosemarie Aqualina who presided over his sentencing and said, "I just signed your death warrant," after sentencing. The appeal claims that Aqualina decided to impose the maximum sentence before the trial started.

"Instead of a proceeding to assist the judge in reaching a fair and just sentencing decision, the judge used the nationally-televised proceeding as an opportunity to advance her own agenda, including to advocate for policy initiatives within the state as well as the federal legislatures, to push for broader cultural change regarding gender equity and sexual discrimination issues, and, seemingly as a type of group therapy for the victims," the appeal reads. During his seven-day sentencing, over 150 women gave impact statements about being abused by Nassar.
Judge Aquilina drove the verdict home with a powerful closing statement that said, "It is my honor and privilege to sentence you. You do not deserve to walk outside a prison ever again. You have done nothing to control those urges and anywhere you walk, destruction will occur to those most vulnerable."
