Nicholas Coakley, also known as “Explorer Nick,” produces scintillating, controversial, video clips such as “Chinese girls like dating white guys” which show him hitting on Asian women in public places with the intention of seducing them.
Coakley’s videos have thousands of views on Youtube and funnel viewers to paid content that costs $27 per month on URLs specifically suited to each country the vlogger visits.

A recent video clip taken in Hong Kong shows Coakley initiating a conversation with a girl shopping for makeup in a mall in Causeway Bay. He is seen in the video offering his take on lipstick color until he’s able to steer the chat towards traveling, dating, and nightclubs in Hong Kong. In the end, Coakley and the girl could be seen exchanging WeChat details.
Another video shows Coakley approaching a group of girls also in Causeway Bay, greeting them in Mandarin and convincing one of them to get her WeChat details.

His bold approach to women and dating has seen him get into trouble. Coakley has been threatened with legal action in Thailand after a young pharmacist protested his filming and reported him to the police.
The 28-year-old vlogger insists he's doing nothing wrong. He rattles off the many reasons in his defense including stating that he does not force women to engage with him, that he is allowed to film in public without expressed consent, he is not trying to humiliate any of the women, and that any physical contact that occurs is between two consenting adults.

In an interview with an Asian media, Coakley wore a MAGA hat and said that he can relate to the American President. He said: “Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about fake news. What most people say about him is lies and false information or taken out of context. Him bragging about being successful with women is a fairly normal guy thing.”

Coakley blames the backlash to his videos to “xenophobia” and “Asian guys getting jealous” of him. He clarifies that he does not exactly view women as easy, despite his current website’s title, HongKongGirlsEasy.com, and says he only wishes to give people “the narrative they want to hear.”
