New York - Rapper Tekashi69 Arrested for Choking a Fan

Rapper Tekashi69 has been arrested in New York City on the strength of an outstanding warrant related to an alleged choking incident at the Galleria Mall.

The rapper is accused of grabbing a fan by the neck during an incident at the said mall on January 6.

Court documents say that the violent incident was triggered by the fan pulling out his camera to record Tekashi69, which apparently the performer didn’t like. The teen involved told investigators that the rapper yelled at him and ordered him to delete the video. With the rapper’s hostile response, his bodyguards also surrounded the fan “in an intimidating way.”

The court documents also state that the fan erased the video that caught the rapper’s ire so she wouldn’t get hurt.

The fan’s mother also corroborated her son’s claim that he was choked by Tekashi69 during the police investigation.

The rapper, Daniel Hernandez in real life, was charged with causing bodily injury.
