WWE Superstar Jeff Hardy Arrested in N.C. for Driving While Intoxicated

WWE superstar Jeff Hardy was arrested for driving while impaired in Concord, North Carolina over the weekend.

Police report says Hardy was driving northbound on Concord Parkway Saturday when he allegedly ran off the road and hit a guard rail.

The WWE celebrity was later subjected to a breath test and blew a .25- more than three times the legal limit. He was then charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated.

Hardy, 40, is part of the wresting tag team duo Hardy Boyz with his real-life brother Matt. His brother appears to distance himself as he tweeted shortly after news broke out of Jeff’s arrest: “EVAH since the #7Dieties have come to me, I do not put alcohol, drugs or foreign substances into my VESSEL… I AM MORE.”

The WWE also released a statement saying: “Jeff is responsible for his own personal actions. We are investigating the matter and awaiting information from local law enforcement officials.”

Hardy’s court date is scheduled for April 16. He has not released a statement of his own. It is also not clear if he has already secured the services of a lawyer.

Social media users and WWE fans were divided on the net in either supporting or mocking Hardy for his road infraction.
