China International Student Union on Twitter was started by a colleague of the person who runs the Instagram page for China International Student Union. They hope to be listed as a charity and plan to continue to help students from all over the world keep up to date on the struggle to re-enter the country. For now though, judging from the handful of people I've talked to, just the existence of any sort of community has been extraordinarily helpful in feeling more hopeful and less alone.
After running across the hashtag I was engrossed by the intensely personal stories of so many students from all over whose lives were upended when they found themselves stuck back home and unable to continue their classes.
