Today, Greece declared that all citizens over the age of 60 will be required to vaccinate themselves against COVID-19 to mitigate the spread of the disease following the emergence of the omicron variant. Hellenes over 60 who do not provide proof of vaccination by January 16th, 2022 will face monthly fines of 100 euros. Greece has already created a parallel society for the unvaccinated by barring them from indoor spaces including restaurants, gyms, and concert venues. -
